Hap-Ki-Do uses the force of the opponent against himself with circular and straight movements. The movements that Gabriel will teach you are effective for self-defense, self-confidence and self-control.

Adult Hap-Ki-Do street self defense classes are now forming, don't get caught in the dark with out it.

You will learn kicks, punches, pressure points, joint manipulation, joint locks, joint breaking, and intensive ground fighting. Hap-Ki-Do breathing exercises will help you develop your inner and external energy force and increase your metabolism.

This Korean Art of Self Defense is considered a "soft" style of Martial Art, as opposed to "hard" styles that practice the use of force against force. Women, children and the elderly can also train and enjoy the benefits of Hap-Ki-Do.

Hap-Ki-Do practitioners can divert or suppress an attacker's flow of energy peacefully, using the attacker's strength against himself. You will learn that through the use of pressure on certain skeletal joints and pressure points, very little strength is needed to overcome an opponent.

Hap-Ki-Do not only redirects an attack but also turns it back against the attacker and follows through with offensive techniques to control his violence and make him incapable of further antagonistic actions. As a Hap-Ki-Do practitioner you will be in complete control of a confrontation, defusing the aggression without the need for uncontrolled damage as seen in many "hard" styles.

Hap-Ki-Do provides complete physical conditioning to improve your balance, posture, flexibility, timing, quickness, muscle tone, joint strength and most importantly, your confidence through physical and mental discipline.

The immediate aim of Hap-Ki-Do is of course the welfare of the one practicing it. Not only will skills in self-defense be attained but also individual character development. A well rounded personality can be realized only if the spirit is right. Courtesy, respect, modesty, loyalty, generosity, and dedication are not only the source but also the rewards of Hap-Ki-Do.
